I've finally been lucky enough to join Jeanne/Wanderlust Explorations on one of her most epic adventures in Peru, of hiking the Inca Trail to Machu Picchu! My husband and I had a fantastic time (as part of a group of 16 Americans) experiencing the local culture and cuisine of Cusco, Peru. She selected the absolute BEST local guides (David and Rom) who handled our group of 16 in a professional, fun manner. The Inca Trail itself, along with our hike to Humantay Lake, were no joke some of the toughest challenges I've ever had because of the incline and altitude. The tips and guides that Jeanne prepared prior to the trip ensured that we were physically and mentally prepared and packing enough (but not too much) for the difficulty of the trail. The trip itself included plenty of group and individual time, both on and off the trail and within the city of Cusco. Jeanne very flexible during the trip, kept everyone up-to-date for any schedule changes (i.e. working with our tour guides for an additional day of guided sight seeing with David and Rom because Rainbow Mountain was still closed), and helped each of us individually submit our travel documentation to the airlines (which made traveling a SMOOTH experience during this crazy time of COVID). I cannot recommend her enough as your personal travel guru!
