Road trip Overview:


This magical adventure will start and end in Dublin. Your adventure kicks off exploring the outskirts of Dublin as soon as we step off the plane before we settle into our quaint Irish B and B for the night.  Key highlights are the Hills of Tara.   We will have a welcome group dinner in the local town. Estimated daily drive time 2.5 hours. 

The following day we start our journey to Northern Ireland.  A day  exploring  2 of the most popular castles in Northern Ireland:  Dunservick and Dunluce.  We will take a 5 mile walk to experience the majestic cliffside and farmlands you cannot access by car.  This is an easy walk where we will be able to have a picnic lunch overlooking the crashing waves below.  Join us on the Carrick-A-Rede rope bridge for epic scenery crossing the cliffs to a quiet fishing town.  Not only will we see Giant’s Causeway but also the Iconic Game of Thrones Scenic spot “the Dark Hedges”.  This epic journey through Northern Ireland will explore seascapes and ruins left to mother natures devices.  Estimated daily drive time 3.5 hours. 

On May 3, 2020 We will be heading to Southern Ireland to feast our eyes upon the most haunted castle in Ireland, Leap Castle. We have a private tour in this castle that is now a private residence .  Further  south  we will visit with the Blarney Castle, famous Blarney Stone and the Poison Garden.   Who will kiss the Blarney Stone? Travelling in these areas allows pieces of history and folklore to converge with magnificent photographic structures. We will head early to our abode for the evening : the beautiful  iconic Ballyseede Castle.  Explore all this castle has to offer and join us for an epic 5 course group dinner in the castle dining hall. Estimate drive time: 7 hours broken up in bouts of 1-2 hours. This is one of the longest road trip days.

May 4, 2020:  Wake up to the aroma of an included Irish breakfast at the Castle. We then hit the road to explore the Ring of Kerry. Getting to visit iconic cities such as Killarney will add to our magical stops.  We will be venturing on the Ring of Kerry, hitting key locations such as Torc Waterfall, Staigue Fort, Molls Gap, Ballinskelligs Beach and Castle and much more.  Get ready to bask in the sunsets cascading over the lush Irish landscapes and wake up to glorious mornings of epic proportion. Estimated drive time: 2-4 hours to travel the Ring of Kerry and end in Killarney.

May 5, 2020: We will end the journey back in Dublin exploring the sights and sounds of this amazing city while enjoying nightlife and pubs.  We will stop at the Rock of Cashel, a 13th century gothic cathedral and one of Ireland's most historical spots. This will break up the 4 hour drive back to Dublin. 



Key information

  • We will be road tripping around Ireland and there will be significant amount of walking.  Many of the castles are on an incline not with parking lots out front.  There will also be periods of time in the vans as we move to the next locations. 

  • All trips/outings are rain or shine.

  • Sunrises and sunsets are must dos when travelling through this Iconic Country. 

  • We will be staying in different locations as we road trip around Ireland

  • This tour is geared specifically for the traveler, the photographer, the historian, and the nature lover.  We will be touring as a group in 2 vans which will have allotted times at each location to explore on your own and enjoy your adventure. If you want to learn or improve your photography I will be there to help at each location.

  • Each night opportunities to eat in town will be provided for you to join as a group or venture on your own.

  • Information such as packing lists, currency, and any other key points will be emailed out 3-4 months out

  • Itineraries are subject to change based on extreme weather or things beyond our control. 



Each night we will be in a different location.  Double occupancy rooms unless noted.  Extra $800.00 for single occupancy room.  Lodging will be unique to Ireland and its culture.


Getting there

  • I offer discounted group airline travel out of Washington D.C as long as there is a minimum of 10 travelers participate.  This is included in the package price if you choose this option. I will make all the arrangements. You will be required to make your own travel arrangements to and from the DC airport.   All airlines will be well known, ones I have personally flown on. Seats will be chosen after ticket is issues which is usually 60 days prior to trip.  Group seats are all coach with options to upgrade at your own expense after tickets are issues.   Group airline requires a $200 non refundable deposit to secure your ticket which is due 60 days after initial deposit date. There will be a payment schedule if needed to pay your airline ticket off.  Once all group tickets are paid for, they are all issued to each individual traveler.

  • If you book your own airline ticket you will need to ensure you are in Dublin for pick up with the group by 5am on May 1, 2020. 


  • If you are not able to get to Washington DC for air travel, I will be more than happy to search airline fare close to our group rates, get you to the destination and meet up with the group
